2 Days West Usambara Mountains Excursion (Lushoto)

Wake up early in the morning and today will be some sort of road trip from Arusha to Lushoto. Arrive in Lushoto in the afternoon and check in to the booked hotel, you will relax in your room for a few hours, and in the late afternoon, you will walk slowly through the village heading to either Irente or Java viewpoint for amazing views and sunsets, spend your time there enjoying the panoramic view of the Masai plain from the tops in Usambara mountains. After sunset, you will either ride or drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Toad you will wake up around 0700hrs have your breakfast start walking through Lushoto township, then head to the mountains passing through the villages and then farmland learning a lot about villages and crops while opening your eyes and trying to search for chameleon, finally, you will enter to the forest where you are going to learn a lot about flora and fauna of the forest, the keep ascending to the mountains and notice how the vegetation decrease in size as the attitudes increases. You will arrive at the German cave dug during World One, if interested you will enter and see what the cave is looking like. Then you will keep ascending to the peak where you are going to have more beautiful views of the Lushoto township from 1840m above sea level. Possibly enjoy some fruits with your guide, relaxing for sometimes you will descend from the peak and connect via the forest until you arrive at the pine tree plantations you will hear more information about these exotic species which were brought here by colonial masters. Keep walking until you arrive at Magamba Eco-cultural Tourism Center where you will enjoy your hot local lunch prepared by local mamas. After lunch, you will relax for sometimes and then you will have a little experience with coffee trees in our garden with interesting stories about how coffee was discovered, how to be a coffee farmer how to pick coffee cherries, how to peel and later process it with your own hands cook it and enjoy a cup of coffee that you made by your own hands.

After coffee celebrations, you will walk through the villages enjoying the village life until we arrive at the local bar where you are going to meet local people enjoying the local sugarcane beer and if interested can test and enjoy it. Meeting and interacting with locals. Later in the late evening dive or ride back to Lushoto town if still time can go a little bit to experience Lushoto township. Dinner and overnight at Lushoto
